What a great place to stay! Every time we come here it is a pleasure. This time we brought two other travelers with us and they too just loved it. One word of advice, get a reservation prior to arriving. Several RVs pulled in and they were full; they book up very fast. One thing I was very impressed with, staff was able to make arrangements for each of the RVers at other locations, nice of him to take the time to do so (Great Customer Service). This is by far the very best park in Louisiana! The restrooms are amazingly clean, the grounds are very well maintained and the Owners Tom and Tracy are the nicest people you will meet. Wi-Fi was excellent and great Cable TV. of course we will be back again and again, so will our friends.

We were asked to revisit this park (this is our second time here, the first was a disaster) and submit a review for a RV Magazine. The story is about the Best and the Worst! After the first visit and a very long conversation with KOA you would think this place would clean up it's act. Just the opposite! I have a list of items that are just inexcusable for the traveling RV'er, the list is to long so I will give you the highlights. The bathrooms/Bath houses are by far the worst we have ever seen (that includes filthy gas stations), The Wi-Fi does not work at all, when I approached the manager I was told "Get an AIR CARD" if you don't like our system. The trash is stored in a very large container hidden in some trees, when it is hot you can smell it throughout the park. Now for the Peacocks, they are cute but don't let then get on your vehicle. The person next to us has major scratches from the hood to the top of his truck from the creatures walking on it. They should be pinned up for peoples enjoyment and most of all safety. The roads are extremely bad, you must watch where you walk so you do not step on a large piece of rock and brake your ankle. The Pool is unfit to swim in, it is green, you can not see the drain and the water stinks like rotten eggs. In short the park is by far the worst we have visited in some 30 months of traveling. I can not mention the RV Magazine but it will be out in December. I have taken over 200 pictures of this place so all can see it. KOA, Owners/Managers and staff should be embarrassed to open the doors each day. Hopefully the City of Corpus Christi will visit this place and revoke the lease on the property and clean this park up. The only reason we are here is for the article! Never again..

This is a nice small park for a overnight stay. The grounds are well kept, the staff was very nice and helpful. I see that the other RVer's were concerned about the bath houses but they were just fine. We had stayed at the KOA a few nights prior and I would stay this place over that any time. We do not use all the amenities, we just want a safe, clean and friendly place to stay.

This is our 4th time here. Each time it get better! The bathrooms/bath houses are by far the cleanest in any park we have been to (that is over 100 parks). As usual Tom is out manicuring the beautiful grounds while Tracy is running the office. You would think a property this big there would be a number of staff members, but there are only three, a part time maintenance man that is wonderful. This is a true RV Park, very consistent, the nicest people you can meet. While we were there a couple had trouble with their slid out. Tom went over there and was able to fix it. He refused to accept anything for the assistance so the guest bought a bunch of stuff in the store. I asked him why he helped them, he stated "It is the right thing to do". You just don't don't see that much any more. My wife and I really do enjoy staying here. The only problem that we have discovered is they fill up every night to capacity, you have to get a reservation before arriving to assure you a site. I guess we are not the only ones that enjoy staying here. By the way the Firefighter Memorial is very nice, peaceful as it should be. I would give this place a 100 if I could. And yes I will be back!!!

This is a nice park. Last time through this area we stayed at the KOA, just read the reviews on that one. The staff here were very nice, the sites are good, if you are looking for a safe, clean place. I would stay here again.

This is a very nice place. This place was recommended to us by another wonderful RV Park in Louisiana. The grounds were very clean, the staff was extremely helpful and the wifi worked great. After a bad night at a KOA it was refreshing to stay at such a nice place. One of the big things that we enjoyed was there they cater to the mature traveler! We will be back!

Again I went against my gut feeling and stayed at a KOA. I'm not sure where to start but I highly recommend that you reconsider staying here. The grounds are clean, the bathrooms were not so clean. The owner was to busy to give us information about the area, finally a work camper told us that he is always like that, and they gave us the information we needed. Initially we were going to stay four days, we decided to stay just the one day. It use to be KOA was the standard in camping / RV'ing. Now it is the standard of what not to be! We will not be back, and we will tell everyone we come across to avoid this location. If you don't want to talk with your guests perhaps you find another way to make a living.

We had reservations two days prior to the arrival date, I expressed to the person on the phone about the reviews they had received regarding the reservation problems. She stated that was a problem but it was all resolved. I had business within walking distance to this place. Upon arrival guess what? NO SPACE was available. They double and triple booked. There is not much more I can say about it without getting upset. As a traveler we depend on people doing their jobs correctly. We ended up dry camping in a Home Depot Parking Lot. Thanks Isle of Capri!!!

I refuse to stay at KOA's any more. BUT! This is the third time I have been here, and they are great! They are consistent, clean and well what can I say I have gave them a 10. We have traveled 42 states in the past year and this is the only KOA I can say something good about. They should become a private park (as so many have). Keep up the good work, and the great hamburgers! I will be back!!!

A typical KOA (I am so tired of saying that), we stayed here because of location to the San Antonio river walk. The staff was OK, not interested in us but not rude. Our site did not have electric, they called a maintenance person over only to see him get SHOCKED! He stated that he told the office staff not to put anyone in this site until the electrician could make the repairs. We had been running our generator to keep our puppies cool, a staff member asked us to please turn off the generator, I asked can I get a site with electric? She said there was only a 30 amp available, we should have had reservations. When I told her we had reserved a site 15 days prior to arrival she stated "IT IS WHAT IT IS"! The electrician showed up four hours later only to find they had a wire in the wrong terminal. THAT IS IT? We were scheculed to stay three days but decided to leave the next day. It was very difficult to get our money back for the remaining days but the Manager was nice, understood and refunded our money. San Antonio in a nice city with a lot to offer. I have read the other reviews and I guess they had better luck than us. Once again, Typical KOA, over priced with little customer service! Maybe KOA Will get he message someday. We will not be back.

This is a very nice CAMPGROUND! Not so much a RV Park. Lots of children running around, but they were very well mannered. It was peaceful and tranquil. The morning coffee always taste great with the smell of a camp fire going with beacon frying. This is a Parish (County to most of us) ran facility. They do not allow any type of alcohol containers to be present at any time. So if you want to enjoy a beer do it inside. Nice place to hang out for a weekend.

I have to agree with the last review. We also stayed here for the Memorial Day weekend. The bathrooms were terrible! I also asked the office staff if they could replenish the Toilet Tissue and they stated "Can't you use your RV's toilet"? Now I have stayed here before it was a KOA and the place was great. It seems as if KOA gets involved in something it goes to well, you know what I mean. For what they charged I could have stayed in a very nice Hotel, we will not be back

The only reason we stayed here was due to weather forcing us to stop before Shreveport. I should have stayed in a Wal-Mart Parking lot. The owners need to shut this place down and decide if they want to be an RV Park or remain a DUMP. The electrical risers are old and un-usable, to the point we did not hook up, we stayed on batteries, the water hook up was disgusting! Woodalls rated this park high, I just threw my 2009 Woodalls in the trash! Take some friendly advice, if you are driving West, continue on to Shreveport. Need I say more?

Now this is a real Resort setting for a very reasonable price. They staff was wonderful, very clean and great amenities. We are basic RVers and not really accustomed to all the different things that they offer. It was nice to see someone open such a great park. If you are in the area drive the extra distance, avoid the KOA and stay here, I guarantee you will be pleased.

Now this park is not the best, but! The manager was great! It was a back in sight, the park was clean, old, but everything worked as it should. I would definitely stay here again, and we will. Thank you Jason for the wonderful service

Another typical KOA. The only reason I stayed here was the other RV Parks were full. It is over priced, the roads are terrible, I couldn't even get around the pot holes. I spoke with one of the workers regarding the roads, he stated the owners refuse to make the necessary repairs. The sites are very tight, slide outs almost touch. We needed to do laundry and the work campers had all the machines tied up for the entire evening (I guess they need clean clothes too). The office staff was nice but very confused, they put us in a 30 amp and we needed a 50. I do not think we will be back! Thanks to the worker that climbed under the slide out to connect our TV Cable. Might want to fix the Wi Fi also.

This is strictly an overnight park, most of the sites are long termers. There are 4 over night spaces and they are very tight getting into. We never met the staff, we filled out the night registration and waited the next morning until 9:00. We would stay only if the our regular park (Tall Pines)is full. It is no longer Kelly's Truck Stop. It is now TA (Travel America)

This was a very nice park, by far the cleaniest we have seen. The staff was very nice and accomodating. We appreciate the fact that it was all adults, very quiet. The wild birds flying around were wonderful. We will definately be back!

Last week we passed through here and stayed at the KOA across the Lake. What a dump that is! This place is very nice. The lake looks great and the staff was nice. Typical State Park, no sewer, cable or wi fi but for the price it was wonderful! If you are in the area go the extra 1.5 miles to the Park.

A typical KOA, Cost does not match the Park or sites. It was very difficult to get level, small and tight sites. The office/store had a strange odor to it, not much in the store, the freezer should be defrosted, I wanted an Ice Cream but it did not look very good. This park is also attached to a Mobile Home Park, several Police cars showed up for a disturbance so of course we were concerned. A lot of road noise from the Interstate construction. I doubt if we will return.

I have no idea why this is a KOA. We have been on vacation for three weeks and this is by far the worst park we have been to. The showers were disgusting. The roads were terrible and the electrical boxs are very, very old! KOA should take a very serious look at this place. We will never be back. When we complained that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom the staff member in the office stated bring your own then.

This is one very difficult park to maneuver through. Very tight turns and a lot of mud (to be fair it had rained a lot) The owner/manager was not very nice. I was afraid of damaging our rig and he stated well then leave. Nice guy!

This is a very basic Park. If you are a Gambler it is the perfect spot. The buffet was OK, staff was great! The sites are very level and everything worked as it should. A little expensive but we needed a place to stay, the regular park we stay at was full (Tall Pines RV Park) and we tried Cash Point, no way so the staff was able to help us out for the evening.

We were forced to stay here (Tall Pines RV Park was full). This is not an RV Park, it is a Parking lot for long term workers. No one was here at 5:00PM, just a note on the door "Take a space", no information or anything else. Very poorly set up for larger rigs, an this is a RV Dealer. We will not stay here again!

For the reviews we have read and the $110.00 per night I expected more. We were her for the Jazzfest. The location is the best for the French Quarter, but the Highway noise from I-10 was very bad. We could hear gun shots through out the night, there had been two killings within two blocks of us the two night we were there, police and rescue sirens rang loud. In all fairness the Park cannot control that. The staff was great but no real amenities to speak of for the price. I would not stay here again, but I do not think we will be be back to New Orleans again. This town has such great history and the locals have destroyed what they could have.

The only reason we stayed here was Tall Pines was full. This is more of a long term workers place. They had three over night spaces right next to the interstate. There is a trucking company right next tot the park so when they start the trucks and let them warm up, park then fills up with black diesel smoke. We attempted to go for a walk but there are dogs that are not leashed roaming around. Not sure what Good Sam was thinking when they took this park on.

This could be a very nice park. Ther are no shade trees. The owners are clearly trying their very best but it is a going to be tough. The staff was very nice, not much offered for what we were charged. We wish them luck

What a great COE Park. The staff was wonderful, the park is clean, quiet and what a wonderful view! A nice breeze kept the bugs away; Our site was perfect! I did notice that several of the sites would be difficult to get into and out of if you had anything larger than a 25' rig. But most are easy in and out.We will be back here several times.

We did not stay here. We pulled in to the park and I could not believe that the local government has not shut this place down. The roads have HUGE Pot holes, I was unable to maneuver around them because there were so many and damaged my left jack, and we got stuck. One of the permanent residents assisted me in getting out. He stated he had been there for the past 18 months, and the roads are always like this. He said it is for pipe liners only, not over nighters.

What a great basic park. We were put in the overflow section and at first I was concerned until I saw it. It was wonderful. Nice level pull thru site with water and electric. We were surrounded by horse stalls (no smell to speak of), people were riding in the arena with the lights on, one of the most peaceful parks we have been to. The staff was nice and by far the most relaxed I have seen. We asked when check out was she stated "When you leave"! A little difficult getting to, be careful of the railroad tracks when you turn from the main road, a very steep incline then a steep drop on the other side. We will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful RV Park. It has left the KOA brand, and is now Tall Pines RV Park. Congratulations. The bath houses are extremely clean, staff is wonderful. The park is geared to the mature RV'ers, the owners make sure it maintains a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The site patio's and the metal table and chairs are a wonderful touch. It was nice to enjoy a quiet evening with no children running around. Great job, we will be back!
